Restorative Weekends
Fostering Safe Communities through Meaningful Conversations!

At Accords International, we always endeavour to build powerful communities which provide safety and security to its members by sharing, listening, empathizing, and understanding the issues that matter to us.

Under our Project Samekya, we are taking a new initiative Restorative Weekends: Fostering Safe Communities through Meaningful Conversations!, for empowering the people by holding deeper conversations and dialogues. The objective is to bring positive changes to the society we live in and connect with each other.

Restorative Weekends are designed to create brave spaces where individuals can engage in meaningful discussions about the things that can truly make a difference in our lives. Through these weekends, we aim to foster understanding, empathy, and compassion among all participants.

Our larger aim is to:

  • Build the Power of Conversations and Dialogues

We believe that every conversation holds immense potential in repairing the harm and strengthening relationships. By actively engaging in dialogues, we can share diverse perspectives, exchange ideas, and build bridges of understanding. These discussions pave the way for resolving conflicts and developing long-lasting connections in our communities.

  • Create Safe and Brave Spaces

Restorative Weekend focuses on creating spaces where people feel safe and supported to express their thoughts and emotions openly. We encourage vulnerability and authenticity in discussions, ensuring that everyone's voice is heard and respected. The sessions are not recorded.

  • Application of Restorative Practices

Restorative practices lie at the heart of Accords International. All our programs aim to build better individuals. We believe that by embracing restorative approaches in different settings, such as schools, colleges, workplaces, families, and different settings within the community, we can repair harm and rebuild relationships in a meaningful way.

  • Understanding Circle Building

Our restorative justice weekends employ circle building as a powerful tool for connection. Circles create a space for equitable participation, active listening, and empathetic sharing. This format enables participants to engage deeply with one another, fostering empathy and healing.

  • Empowering participants to Design Their Own Circles

A restorative weekend will also enable our participants to host their own small circles in different settings. We want to empower others to create similar transformative spaces. By sharing our knowledge and expertise, we encourage them to design their own circles, spread empathy, and make a difference in their communities.

Join us in this inspiring journey of growth and healing through this initiative! Together, we can build stronger, empathetic, and sustainable communities.

Let's make a positive impact, one dialogue at a time.
